Dr Chin has over two decades of experience in the field of orthopaedics. He obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1998 and later pursued postgraduate studies in orthopaedic surgery, obtaining a Masters of Medicine and Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2003. He further completed his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007.

Dr Chin’s expertise lies in complex joint replacement surgeries. He is a regional expert in computer-aided techniques and has also been trained in robotic-assisted surgery. His contributions to the field have been immense, as he has shared his experience and knowledge through various courses, peer-reviewed publications, and medical exchange programs.

Apart from his surgical practice, Dr Chin has a passion for teaching and has guided many young doctors and medical students in basic and advanced orthopaedic training. He is also an Adj. Assist. Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital.

Dr Chin’s dedication to his profession is evident from his voluntary work at the AMK community hospital and the SIF Specialist project in Cambodia. He completed his orthopaedic fellowship at the Manchester Royal infirmary, United Kingdom, under the Singapore Government Ministry of Health Training Scholarship in Revision Joint Arthroplasty.
