Dr. Ong is a skilled interventional cardiologist with a subspecialty in coronary artery angioplasty and stenting, as well as complex coronary interventions. He is also proficient in performing transcatheter aortic valve implantations (TAVI). With his exceptional expertise, he has been appointed as the Director of the only JCI accredited Acute Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack) Program in the country during his tenure at the CGH from 2008 to 2015.

In addition to his exceptional professional credentials, Dr. Ong has also trained at the prestigious Siegburg Heart Centre in Germany, where he honed his skills in coronary and structural heart interventions. He is passionate about providing holistic patient care and is dedicated to teaching and training. He was a Core Faculty member of the Singhealth Cardiology Senior Residency Program and a Clinical Senior Lecturer for the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
