Dr Roy Lim is a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Anaesthesiologist who possesses a vast range of skills and expertise.
He provides exceptional general anaesthetic services for a variety of surgeries, while also delivering sub-specialised cardiothoracic anaesthesia for both adults and children. His specialisation requires mastery of a diverse range of techniques, including transoesophageal echocardiography, regional anaesthetics, lung isolation techniques, and post-operative intensive care medicine.
Dr Lim graduated with a medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1998, before obtaining his Master of Medicine in Anaesthesiology in 2009. In 2011, Dr Lim completed a clinical fellowship that focused on Paediatric Cardiac and Adult Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London. This hospital is renowned as a tertiary heart and lung referral centre for the United Kingdom and Europe and is the largest adult congenital heart disease centre in Europe.
Dr Lim is also a dedicated educator. He is appointed as a Clinical Tutor by the National University of Singapore and serves as a lecturer for the Core Lectures in Anaesthesia Training. This structured training program is designed for Basic Specialist Trainees preparing for the Primary and Final Masters of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) Examination Preparatory Course, which is attended by both local and international candidates.
