Dr Soon Sue Rene is a renowned Ear Nose Throat (ENT) Surgeon who specialises in snoring/obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), paediatric ENT and sinus surgery. She currently serves as the Head of Division of Otorhinolaryngology at Asian Healthcare Specialists Limited. Prior to this, she was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), Jurong Community Hospital, Jurong Medical Centre, and a Visiting Consultant to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Dr Soon completed her basic medical degree at the National University of Singapore and then underwent ENT specialist training in Singapore. She also underwent clinical fellowship training in Paediatric Otolaryngology at the University of Alberta, Stollery Children’s Hospital, and in Obstructive Sleep Apnea Surgery at the G.B. Moragagni-L. Pierantoni Hospital in Italy, under the Human Manpower Development Plan scholarship from the Ministry of Health.

Dr Soon is widely recognized for her Minimally Invasive Snoring OSA surgical techniques, which offer safe and quicker recovery. She played a significant role in setting up the NTFGH Sleep Surgery Service, ENT-OMS joint clinic, and integrating surgical care as part of the Sleep Multidisciplinary Team. With her training and vast experience, Dr Soon is well-versed in managing ENT conditions of the upper airway in adults and children, including nasal allergies, sinus, deviated septum, adenotonsillar/turbinate hypertrophy, larynx, and thyroid conditions. In addition, she also specializes in general ear, nose, and throat conditions and head/neck cancer screening.
