With a particular interest in chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, haemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis, Dr Ng has worked extensively in the care and management of patients with kidney conditions.

Dr Ng’s medical qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the Auckland University in 2002, and he completed his nephrology training in New Zealand, becoming a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2010. Before moving into private practice, Dr Ng worked as a consultant nephrologist at North Shore Hospital in Auckland from 2010, before joining the Department of Renal Medicine at Changi General Hospital in 2012.

Dr Ng has held several key positions during his career, including Director of the Peritoneal Dialysis services at CGH, and a member of the MOH Peritoneal Dialysis Workgroup. He was also a member of the executive committee of the Singapore Society of Nephrology from 2017.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Ng is actively involved in the education of medical students and junior doctors. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and core faculty for the SingHealth Junior Residency Program. Dr Ng has received numerous awards for his services, including the Singapore Medical Journal Reviewer Recognition Award, SingHealth Silver Award for Outstanding and Commendable Service, Best Service Award at Changi General Hospital, and the Eastern Health Alliance Silver Award for Outstanding and Commendable Service.
