Dr Jeffrey Chew has extensive experience in joint replacement surgery and the treatment of arthritis. He has sub-specialty interests in hip and knee joint replacements and sports injuries around these areas. Dr Chew uses the Makoplasty robot to perform robotic joint replacement, which is an advanced technology that ensures greater precision and accuracy during surgery.

Dr Chew graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1989 and completed his postgraduate degree in 1994. He then went on to study joint replacement surgery at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Adult Reconstructive Division, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr Chew has received numerous awards and scholarships for his work in biomechanics research and joint replacement surgery. He has also been recognised for his contributions to the medical field with membership in several international societies, including the American College of Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Research Society, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, European Society of Sport and Knee Surgery, Fellow of the International College of Surgeons, and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Despite his busy schedule, Dr Chew is committed to community efforts and has spent time in Sri Lanka helping the country recover from the devastating effects of the Tsunami. His current research interests include patella designs and tracking, as well as cartilage transplantation in the arthritic model. Dr Chew is a highly skilled and dedicated orthopaedic surgeon who continues to make significant contributions to the medical field.
