Dr Jim Teo specialises in internal medicine, respiratory medicine, and intensive care medicine, with a keen interest in asthma, chronic obstructive lung disease, non-invasive ventilation, and intensive care medicine. He also served as a visiting senior consultant to JurongHealth, providing specialised respiratory services to Alexandra Hospital and Ng Teng Fong Hospital.

Dr. Jim completed his medical training from the National University of Singapore in 1997, followed by sub-specialty training in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine in Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He was accredited by the Specialist Accreditation Board as a Specialist in Respiratory Medicine in 2007 and obtained European Diplomas in Intensive Care Medicine and Adult Respiratory Medicine. He also spent a year training in Intensive Care Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Australia.

Dr. Jim has extensive experience managing patients in the medical intensive care unit (MICU) and was involved in managing critically ill patients during the H1N1 pandemic in 2009. He was also recognized for

his contribution during the SARS outbreak and received the Courage Star Award in 2003. He is an enthusiastic educator and is actively involved in teaching medical students, nurses, and young doctors.

Dr. Jim is a Clinical Teacher for medical undergraduate teaching at the National University of Singapore and is also involved in various medical committees in several hospitals. He is an instructor for Basic Cardiac Life Support Course, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course, and Fundamental Critical Care Support Course in Singapore.
