Professional Profile:

Dr Chan is an ophthalmologist who has served in several prestigious health institutions in Singapore. She was previously a Consultant in the Ophthalmology Service at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Medical Centre, where she headed the Oculoplastic Service and managed various oculoplastic conditions. She was also a Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at National University Hospital.

Dr Chan received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine at the National University of Singapore in 2004. She was awarded the Gold Medal and Book Prize in Ophthalmology in 2003, and went on to obtain her Membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008 and Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore in 2011.

With her extensive experience, Dr Chan is a skilled cataract surgeon who has worked with a wide range of cataract surgery techniques and new technologies such as femtosecond laserassisted cataract surgery and computer-assisted toric intraocular lens implantation.
