Professional Profile:

Dr Timothy Lim Yong Kuei is a highly skilled Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a particular interest in the management of

gynaecological cancers. With more than two decades of experience in the field, Dr Lim is a specialist in laparoscopic surgery, complex pelvic surgery, and the prevention and treatment of gynaecological cancers. He also provides antenatal care to expectant mothers and manages a range of gynaecological conditions, such as endometriosis, fibroids and ovarian cysts.

Dr Lim received his undergraduate medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1998 and completed his post-graduate qualifications in O&G from the Royal College of O&G, London in 2003. He has received advanced training in gynaecological oncology, including a fellowship at the Department of Gynaecological Oncology, KKH and training in minimally invasive gynaecological cancer surgery in France. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Lim is dedicated to medical education and has held teaching positions at several medical schools in Singapore. He has also been involved in clinical research, with a focus on cancers of the genital tract and complex pelvic surgery.

Dr Lim is passionate about public education and has organized numerous public health talks and activities in the prevention and treatment of gynaecological cancers. He volunteers as a doctor for the Singapore Cancer Society and is the current Chairman of the Women’s Gynaecological Cancer Awareness committee. He also serves on the councils of the O&G Society of Singapore and Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology of Singapore. Dr Lim has received several awards throughout his career, including the best clinical teacher award (NUS) and the best scientific abstract award (Gynaecologic Oncology) at the 10th RCOG international Scientific Congress.
