Professional Profile:

Dr. Timothy Shim is an accomplished plastic surgeon with a wealth of training and experience. He received his M.B.B.S. from the National University of Singapore in 2002 and went on to earn his M.Med.(Surgery) from NUS in 2007. Dr. Shim also holds an M.R.C.S (Ed) from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) which he obtained in 2005.

Dr. Shim is accredited by the Ministry of Health as a specialist in Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (Plastic Surgery). He completed his specialist training in Plastic Surgery at the National University Hospital and was awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme. He has also received further training in supermicrosurgery at the University of Tokyo Hospital.

Dr. Shim has served as a Programme Director for the NHG Plastic Surgery Residency Programme and has worked as a Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon prior to joining private practice. He is also a teaching faculty with AO Craniomaxillofacial.

Dr. Shim specialises in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and is skilled in reconstructive surgery techniques of the breast, head and neck, limb and trunk as well as facial trauma.
