Dr Ting is an experienced haematologist with an impressive background in his field. He completed his haematology training at the Welsh National School in Cardiff, UK, and his fellowship in bone marrow transplant at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, USA. Dr Ting’s education journey was supported by the Federal Scholarship to study medicine at the University of Malaya and the ASEAN Fellowship in Internal Medicine at the National University of Singapore.

In addition to his education, Dr Ting has dedicated his career to serving the community. He has volunteered for an inner-city community centre and has provided 20 years of service to the Blood Service Group (BSG). Dr Ting played an essential role in developing Singapore’s bone marrow transplantation program and was part of the team that performed the country’s first bone marrow transplant in 1985.

Dr Ting is an active member of the haematology community, serving on the Haematology Resident Advisory Committee, Joint Committee on Specialist Training and Board Examiner for Haematology Exit Exam for the past six years. He currently holds the position of Visiting Specialist in Haematology at BSG and is a Consultant Haematologist at Parkway Laboratories.

Dr Ting’s sub-specialty interests are in bleeding and thrombotic disorders, chronic myeloproliferative disorders, and lymphoproliferative disorders. His extensive experience and commitment to his profession make him a valuable asset to the haematology field in Singapore and beyond.
