Dr. Winston Woon is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He specialises in minimally invasive surgery (MIS), including laparoscopic and robotic surgery for hernia, gall bladder, liver, pancreas, and bile duct conditions. Dr. Woon has completed two years of subspecialty training in laparoscopic upper gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic surgery, with a focus on both benign and malignant conditions.

During his tenure at Prince of Wales Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Australia, he was involved in kidney and liver transplantation.

From 2010 to 2018, Dr. Woon served as the Head of the HPB surgical unit at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he helped develop minimally invasive surgical skills in the general surgery department and the HPB surgical unit. Additionally, he was an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the National University of Singapore School of Medicine.

Dr. Woon currently serves as the elected president of the Hepatopancreaticobiliary Association (Singapore) and is an executive board member of the Asia Pacific Hepatopancreaticobiliary Association.
