Dr. Wong has an illustrious career, having previously served as Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, one of Singapore’s leading hospitals, and as Clinical Director of the Communicable Disease Centre, the predecessor of the National Centre of Infectious Diseases. He continues to serve as a visiting consultant at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and Sengkang General Hospital, where he shares his knowledge and expertise with other healthcare professionals.

Dr. Wong’s academic achievements are also noteworthy. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1984 and completed his training in internal medicine, obtaining a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 1989. He went on to complete his advanced training in infectious diseases in Singapore and the US, spending two and a half years as a clinical and research postdoctoral fellow in infectious diseases at Stanford University School of Medicine and Research Institute, Palo Alto Medical Foundation (USA).
